a. completely explain the problem and it's relevance to your life b. critically investigate the problem and evaluate information from a variety of sources (research from good sources) c. provide a detailed explanation of how you will test your product against the design specifications (requirements) d. All 3 of these steps combined = the Design Brief

-Design First: a. design a product/solution- use your research to brainstorm ideas and make sure your ideas meet the design specifications b. choose your best idea, and make sure it matches the design specifications
Plan second- c. create a plan that contains a number of detailed, logical steps that describes how you will use your resources and time d. evaluate the plan and justify (explain) any changes to your design
3. Realizing the Solution
a. use appropriate techniques and equipment b. follow the plan- troubleshoot when you need to and explain changes to your design c. create the product/solution
4. Evaluate
a. evaluate the product/solution against the design specifications by testing it and from feedback (your own, teacher feedback & friends) b. evaluate the use of all the deign cycle steps c. answer the unit question ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
